“ I believe that part the of creating process is observing the beauty that surrounds us. In landscape painting I focus on the  bigger picture. The image has already been created by nature and there is a clear path to be followed; there is a beginning and an end which give me a sense of control. When painting abstracts I focus on the intricate and layered  shapes and colors  that create patterns all around us. Abstracts can be very challenging due to the openness which can be daunting at times. The reward is to find my direction in the vastness of endless possibilities. I find great joy in both art forms. . There are those that say that you can only do one or the other. I find that creativity is endless and limitless. Hopefully others can enjoy my artwork  as much as I enjoy creating them."
